Rani Milano is a clothing project created by a designer duo, a man and a woman who grew up between Paris and Milan.

Neither city is a theme here. Growing up between the two left something more practical: a habit of looking closely at how a garment is cut, how a fabric behaves, how an object sits in its surroundings

Each piece starts with proportions and material. Most of the work is deciding what to leave out — a seam moved, a length adjusted, a detail kept only if it earns its place. Simple is the result, not the starting point.

The products are the outcome of that process: garments considered as objects, made to hold up to close attention.

Rani Milano grows piece by piece. New work joins the store; earlier pieces move to the Archive, where they stay visible. The archive is part of the project, a record of where it has been.
